Uncluttrd ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. We also record which platform (iOS or Android) you signed up on and, if you choose to answer, how you heard about Uncluttrd.
Photos
Photos you take or upload are sent securely to our AI service providers to analyze your space and generate your organization plan and, if requested, a visualization. We store a resized copy of each photo with its saved plan so you can come back to it later. We also store any progress photos you add while working through a plan and any AI-generated visualization images you create with a Pro subscription. These are stored in your account using Google Firebase.
Stored photos and visualization images remain in your account until they are deleted. When you delete a plan, it is kept for 30 days, and plans that have not yet been added to a room can be restored from Recently Deleted during that time. After 30 days, the plan's photos, visualization images, and progress photos are permanently removed from Uncluttrd's storage systems. A record of the deleted plan, without those images, remains in your account until you delete your account. Deleting a room or area lets you restore it in the app for 30 days, after which the room or area and its plans, including their photos, visualization images, and progress photos, are permanently deleted. Deleting your account deletes your plans, photos, visualization images, and progress photos from Uncluttrd's systems. A small number of server-side records are kept for a limited time afterwards, as described under Your Rights below.
Usage Data
We collect basic usage information such as the number of analyses performed and subscription status to provide our service. We also use analytics and advertising measurement tools, described below.
Organization Plans
Your organization plans are saved to your account so you can access them across devices. Saving plans does not require a Pro subscription.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how people use the Uncluttrd app so we can improve it. Firebase Analytics collects information about your use of the app, such as the features you use and the actions you take (for example, starting or completing an organization plan), session information such as when and for how long the app is used, and device information such as your device model, operating system version, and language or region settings.
We also use Google Analytics on the Uncluttrd website to understand website visits and interactions. Google may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, and referral source.
We do not send your name, email address, or photos to Firebase Analytics. Google processes this information under the Google Privacy Policy.
Versions of the Uncluttrd app that include the Meta (Facebook) SDK use it to measure whether our advertising on Meta's platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, leads people to install and use Uncluttrd. In those versions, the app itself sends the following directly to Meta:
These events are separate from the subscription events that RevenueCat reports to Meta, described below. We have set the Meta SDK not to record in-app purchases automatically, so the app itself does not report your purchases or subscriptions to Meta.
RevenueCat, our subscription service provider, receives information from the app to manage your subscription and to help us understand whether our advertising leads to subscriptions. This can include your account information, your IP address, information about your device and its identifiers (including the Meta app identifier, an ID the Meta SDK creates for the app on your device), your advertising ID where permitted, and, on iPhone, whether you allowed tracking. RevenueCat may send your subscription events to Meta with the matching information available for your account, so they can be matched to our ads.
When you subscribe, RevenueCat may provide Meta with a one-way hashed version of your email address so the subscription can be matched to an advertisement. Meta may use it for advertising attribution and to match subscription events to the people who saw our ads. A hashed email address is not anonymous: Meta can match it to an account that uses the same email address.
The app itself does not send Meta your name, email address, account ID, photos, organization plans, room names, the requests you make in the app, the results it gives you, or transaction IDs. Meta processes the information it receives under the Meta Privacy Policy.
Some product recommendation links in the app may be affiliate links. Today, product links go to Amazon through the Amazon Associates program. As an Amazon Associate, Uncluttrd earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links do not change what we recommend or what you pay. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
We use Resend to deliver our emails. These include account emails, such as welcome and subscription confirmation messages; a one-time email to help you get started if you have not yet created a plan; and occasional product announcements, which include an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to stop sending you non-essential emails at any time by contacting hello@uncluttrd.app.
Your account data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption.
Uncluttrd uses the following third party service providers. They process information as described in this policy and under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your name, email address, photos, or organization plans to advertisers for monetary compensation. We may share limited technical information, advertising identifiers where permitted, and app activity with Google and Meta, and RevenueCat may share subscription events and a hashed version of your email address with Meta, to understand how the app is used and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Depending on where you live, privacy laws may classify some types of sharing as a 'sale' or 'sharing' of personal information. If you have questions about how we share information, contact us at hello@uncluttrd.app.
On iOS, your advertising identifier is available to Meta and RevenueCat only if you allow tracking when the app asks. You can change that choice at any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. If you do not allow tracking, the app still sends Meta the events it sends directly, listed in Advertising Measurement, but without your advertising identifier. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings, usually under Settings, Google, Ads (menu names vary by device). These device settings affect advertising identifiers, but they do not stop all app-event measurement. You can manage how Meta uses information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. If you have questions about advertising measurement, contact us at hello@uncluttrd.app.
You may delete your account directly within the app. Open the menu, tap Account, then select Delete Account. This deletes your profile and your customer content, including your plans, photos, visualizations, and progress photos, from Uncluttrd's systems. Information previously transmitted to service providers, including Google Analytics, Meta, RevenueCat, Resend, Anthropic, and OpenAI, may remain subject to those providers' retention policies and legal obligations.
Two limited server-side records may remain for a short time after your account is deleted. A monthly usage record applies the monthly allowance of free analyses, so that deleting an account and creating a new one does not reset that allowance. A deletion record helps us confirm that account deletions finish correctly and detect abusive deletion patterns. Each record holds your account identifier and a few related details: for the usage record, the month and how many analyses were used; for the deletion record, when your account data was deleted and whether we confirmed that the deletion finished. Both also note when they become eligible for deletion.
The account identifier in these records is the same identifier your account used. It is not anonymous and it is not a hashed value. Neither record holds your photos, plan text, prompts, provider responses, product recommendations, or visualizations. Neither is readable by the app or by anyone else using Uncluttrd, and we do not use either one for advertising.
A monthly usage record becomes eligible for automatic deletion at the first moment of the following month, measured in UTC. A deletion record is kept for up to 30 days. Eligibility is not the same as removal: automatic deletion runs in the background, so a record can remain for some time after it becomes eligible. Automatic deletion is active for both kinds of record. It applies only to these records: it does not delete your account, your plans, your photos, or any other content in your account.
You may also contact us at hello@uncluttrd.app if you need assistance with your account or data.
